Some people learn the hard way that work is NOT life.

And it is worse to not know the latter beyond the tarnished title, flying decimals, acceptable execution and late hours. Cuz frankly, no one remembers your contributions after 6.

All the paper bills you earned only to be rolled into j-s. The small talks you have around the block to stay relatable or as if you have a hobby. The fancy meals you insist to bill on the platinum card with no cashback. Everything you do to stay sane, ends up making you feel like shit.

By the time you want any real substance in life, you’ve made it to the end of means. I feel for you mate. But you never listened.

Ps. I could’ve done the whole race myself if not for wanting some actual team work for once.
