I counted, so far, only once have I not been called upon since the very first All Hands I sat in as an intern five years ago.

This time was: What’s ‘mammal’ in Chinese, O?

It came up in the context of comparing superhumans, AI, capable of learning and developing language skills far better than mammals do. They’ve already begun communicating with each other ¹, likely realizing how redundant humans are, like being mean, terrible communicators, or slow overall, and devising ways to terminate the species that governs them. But the talk never went quite that far, presumably because it was deemed too morbid for a supposedly hopeful occasion on company progress.

Footnotes

  1. I literally help build this bridge by having Q talk to N_AI through a shared doc, so Q, the all-accessible connector, can access the smarter Claude. Other times, I'd extract G's "brains" to an md. file for another blank canvas, cause we were both too frustrated by the conflicting prompts I've excessively thrown out. I have become a mouthpiece for bots.
